Microwave Accessory Kit
The microwave accessory set allows for a complete study of optical and wave phenomena with microwaves. The set includes: 2 wide metal plates, 1 narrow metal plate, and a wide acrylic plate. Each comes with a detachable base which can be used to mount the plates on a desk vertically.
The metal plates reflect microwaves, and can be used to demonstrate reflection, diffraction and interference, including the Young’s Slit set up. The acrylic plate is semi-transparent to microwaves, and both reflects and transmits components of the microwave signal. The acrylic plate can therefore be used as a beam splitter for interferometry experiments (e.g. Michelson Interferometry).
