Doppler Ball

The Lascells Doppler Ball is a 100 mm plastic ball with a coin cell battery powered buzzer inside. Where space permits, the ball can be safely whirled around in a large horizontal circle to audibly reveal the Doppler Effect. The buzzer provides a loud output, for an impressive demonstration of frequency/pitch change with a moving sound source. Suitable for teaching sound, wave theory, and red shift. Supplied with 1.5 m nylon rotation cord. Note: requires 1 x CR2032 coin cell battery (not supplied).
