This Charles Law Apparatus consists of a uniform, glass capillary tube, 30 cm long, sealed at one end and marked with a linear metric scale. The scale can be used to measure the height of an air column contained below a bead of either mercury, concentrated sulphuric acid, or oil (e.g. mineral, vegetable, or olive).
Ideal for the `Investigating Charles Law’ required practical, and exploring the relationship between gas volume and temperature, this tube can be used in conjunction with a thermometer in order to extrapolate a value for Absolute Zero.
